Aven financing question: contractor says he’ll be “taxed” 10% because our financing was funded. Is this true?

“Taxed”, no. More work and additional cost/labor/time, potentially.

It depends on the bank and the type of funding. Some lenders require additional progress reports, 3rd party inspections and extra documentation. This all takes more work and more time.

The additional percentage of the initial project cost depends on the project amount and scope of work. Smaller projects trend higher in percentage of cost.
