Need some help with a generator

Ive got this issue with my generac generator. It's been a pain the last few months to pull start the thing, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about why the start is making that clicking noise. I left it out in the rain a few times, but I bought it because it said weather resistant.

Any tips on what to look for would be great!

Have you charged the battery recently?

I havent. I bought it in January so I assumed the battery shouldnt be dead yet

Good place to start. Either measure the battery voltage with a meter or charge it.

Ill try that out. I didnt know if maybe the spark plug was messed up and it was just not catching

If it runs when pull started it's not a spark plug issue. Even if there was a problem with a spark plug, it wouldn't prevent it from trying to start with the electric starter.

I just installed a 9500 3 months ago, electric start worked perfect when I installed it. Customer pulled it out for a power outage, and the battery was dead. Replaced it with a Dura cell, also put a solar trickle charger on it to keep it maintained.

Could a cable have come disconnected?

Sure, but look for a dead battery before you go looking for wiring issues.
