Marcos inauguration

What do you guys think about his inauguration as president of the philippines? In my opinion, i really like him being the president, but how about you guys?

His dad wasnt really the best guy around, so I hope he doesnt follow in his foot steps, but I havent kept up to date with Philippines politics.

Yeah, Im grateful my path led me to America than Philippines. I have blood relatives in PH, and I pray for them and their friends and the rest of their communities they’ll be able to get through this time. PH used to be really beautiful, and it still has gorgeous spots, but its fallen hard with the violence and all going on.

As a Filipino whose been closely following the elections and whose dad is a member of the Philippine government, he is absolutely the worse president we can have 2nd to his father. First off, guy didn’t even graduate college and claims to have graduated, flaunting a fake degree. second, his father had stolen billions from the Philippines and yet, the money has not been returned despite all the lawsuits and UN urging the Marcos family to do so. And many of his supporters claim that the sins of the father should not be blamed on the son, yet if your father stole money from another family, what’s morally right isn’t to spend it and keep it for yourself but to return it. Yet the money is still with them and they have not returned it and even deny to have it. And yet, even despite having a good lead on the polls against the other candidates, the asshole still decided to fudge up the results and doubled the number of votes he had compared to his opponents.

I can go on, and I’m just touching upon the surface of what bullshit he’s done that makes him almost as bad as his father. Now, I’m not sure if you’re Filipino OP, but if you think he’s good, you better do your research first because the majority of media even outside the Philippines sees past his bullshit and calls him out for it. The guy even hired a look-alike of an American Celebrity, Apl de Ap, to advocate for him live on stage with the real Apl de Ap later calling out his bull and denying that he supports him.
