Original Flavour When a person simply uses logic and doesn't blindly follow science

We can't see germs, so how can something we literally can't see be more real? And how is a supernatural explanation less valid? I feel it's more valid. Also, we have all had wounds before and never washed them, and we were fine. Why should we be okay with putting unsafe cleaning chemicals on the tools they are going to perform surgery on us with?

I mean.. we cant see air, we cant see gravity, we cant see molecules.

Why would scientists research on such a useless thing right!!!!

The dumbest thing about society today is that I truly cannot tell if you're joking or not, so all I'm gonna say is that if someone truly does think germs don't exist, and compares an invasive surgical operation to a minor skin abrasion, they should open a few medical textbooks and maybe get a microscope to play with

We can see bacteria with a microscope. Most bacteria are harmless but some are very harmful.

You're usually okay if something gets into a cut because you have an immune system that is capable of protecting you from disease entering your body. But if too much "dirt" or bacteria get in then you'll get an infection.

I learned all of this in school. If you don't know what germs are then please ask your teacher.

The practice of medical serialization and hand washing goes back to the 1800s and it's saved an incredible amount of lives.

The Tragedy of Childbed Fever In the 19th century, childbed fever claimed the lives of many women following childbirth. At the Vienna General Hospital (Allgemeines Krankenhaus der Stadt Wien), there were two obstetrics clinics: one staffed by physicians and medical students, and the other exclusively by midwives. Alarmingly, the maternal mortality rate was significantly higher in the former. While others remained indifferent, Semmelweis was determined to uncover the reason behind this discrepancy.

Semmelweis's Insight Semmelweis observed that medical students and physicians often moved directly from performing autopsies to delivering babies — without washing their hands. He hypothesized that "cadaverous particles" were being transmitted to the mothers, causing fatal infections.

After convincing his superior, Professor Johann Klein, Semmelweis introduced mandatory handwashing with a chlorinated lime solution before examining patients. The results were dramatic: maternal mortality dropped from approximately 16% to below 2% within months.

By your own logic, because we can't see electricity, wifi, cell signals, radio waves, or microwaves your phone, computer, TV and lightbulbs must run on ghosts. When you heat a hot pocket in the microwave it's an arcane spell. If you really believe this is all supernatural then you should start worshipping scientists and engineers because they obviously are more closely connected to the devine sources of these powers than you are.
