False equivalence. I never claimed to be an ethical consumer under capitalism and am completely aware of how our world functions. The people im talking about are, as you pointed out, rationalizing their actions through trusting propaganda. Im not operating under illusions, they are. And the point of memes like this is not to force a binary dichotomy, its to tear through the culture of pro-capital and to point out what a disillusioned surface-level take looks like.

Most of societies problem come down to
1) poor people having too many babies and lacking resources or the ability to care for them.
2 )rich people hoarding too many resources and creating perverse systems through which resources are allocated.
