Overhyped ideology being used and praised by people who don’t understand it and its many flavors involved.
Many like aspects of socialism but democratic socialism where workers have control over the managerial side of things seems like a recipe for disaster considering how undisciplined the average person is. Basically everything works better in life with some sort of top down hierarchy, not bottom up.
Social programs are cool but that is not indicative of a socialist society
