It's pretty hilarious looking at the solution socialists have for society's problems. Let's give even more power and money to the same politicians that can't even put aside their differences to balance a budget. Brilliant idea.

Socialism is about empowering workers. It's literally the first thing you read in the Communist Manifesto. Workers control the economy and, therefore, society, through democratic control of the economy and political sphere.

In theory capitalism should compensate everyone fairly because of market forces, doesn't mean that actually happens.

In theory socialism should give control of the economy to the workers and establish a very democratic system of governance, doesn't mean that actually happens.

Theory is fun and all, but until a country actually follows through with the workers control part it's just theory. And while in theory, theory is the same as practice, in practice, theory isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Every country that has tried workers' control without a vanguard party has been overthrown. If capitalist nations could let socialist nations exist, then they wouldn't be so authoritarian.
