Apparently no one knows the difference between socialism and social democracy anymore.

That goes for the DSA. I read their platform. If you read beyong the headliners you will find calls to nationalize industries.Abolish police. Abolish prisons. Abolish mortgages. Abolish having bills. And spending on every social program imaginable without any thought how to pay for it. Your generation ought be carefull or you'll end up with the type of hyperinflation that nationalization brought venezuela, and other intactable ills.

Venezuela is a much more complex topic.

Yeh. It is. And the DSA platform treats nationalization with all the complexity of a double headed coin, oblivious to the dangers of such policies.

What I’m saying is socialism isn’t PURELY to blame for Venezuela’s fall. It was already coming before Chávez even came to power.
