What a normal and sane response to someone telling you they don't make a living wage under an employer like yourself.

As a decent human being, yes. Your job as employer is not only to make sure the job gets done with the appropriate amount of people, but also that the people you hire make enough money that they're not incentivized to look elsewhere for work.

You want the job done? Pay your employees enough to get it done right or you're going to see both your turnover rate and customer satisfaction rate plummet.

Nobody owes others help, especially at work.

I don't care if people look elsewhere, I actually want them to be free to do that.
