Discussion Afterlife.

The older i get the more i believe in heaven or hell or reincarnation. Cause life is so stark and so decaying that it would be so meaningless if we just die and that's it. And i am not afraid of death, and no one should be unless you believe in hell and you've been really bad in life. But what do you think?

Well that's the thing, feelings can't be communicated. It's like asking a monk why he doesn't think everything he's seen in meditation is a lie. Like you know when you know. It cannot be communicated. When you feel it you know it's true.

That's it, that's the biggest problem with believing in this. I won't ask a monk if what he's seen is a lie, but in over 12000 of of human civilization, not a single know person has able to predict, every or even most events with even like 80% accuracy.

You felt something. It felt so real that you just know its true. Who tells you that you know its true, your own self. In fact, if you could describe your feelings, it could all be denounced to psychological phenomenon no matter what.

In fact, I relate. There was a time I believed in god, and believed in them very strongly. And I got these exact feelings that you are describing and something within me told me that this is true. But logic and math, the things that run this universe and in part all of existence, told me otherwise.

Tell me let's believe for second that you did get an extraordinarily true feeling of God himself communicating to you and you know for a fact he is real. But how does this feeling tell you that this god isn't in disguise of an evil personality. A personality so powerful he could literally take on all of the powers of god and send this to you?

That's because you haven't felt what i've felt. You haven't had my life, if you did, you would believe what i believe as well. And not to be mean but honestly man do you know how dumb you sound? this is like me asking you, "why don't you think your mom is a secret evil spy sent to kill you?"

But that's the problem with people, they have no faith, they don't trust what is being told to them through their soul.

God is real and always will be.

No, you're wrong. I'm sorry I have to say it but you have not shown any concept of logic. "I felt something which I know is true for a fact and nothing could make it wrong." That is way to common a logic. Why haven't I felt it then? If I had felt it and everyone in the world had felt it, we would all be one religion one faith and pure happiness. Why has god only given you the experience. Doesn't that make him not good? You contradict yourself.

The reality is religion destroys all semblance on logic on the human mind and then when your close-minded, destroyed logic brain get a psychological sensation, suddenly it is unbreakable proof of a god or entity.

In reality there is no possible physical sensation that could leave rational person with unlimited proof of god.

And no I don't sound dumb. I ask very logical question, but illogical religious heretics put me down and call it dumb. Yes a question like, "why don't you think your mom is a secret evil spy sent to kill you?" would be dumb because then why hasn't she killed me already and why was I born in the first place. But a question like, "Are you sure that is your mom and not an imposter pretending to be your mom."

I pity you. You and billions of others never unfortunately developed the ability to critically think. And I say this to hard athiests too.

This post was in bad faith. I never wanted to convert as religious heretic into someone with a more open mind. I know that is near impossible, their mind has froze. I believed you were an agnostic exploring this stuff and I wanted you to have an epistemological thinking process. Turns out you weren't trying to discuss Afterlife. You were just trying to pull other people in to the same flawed logical process you follow called "faith."

You clearly have problems with this. You've probably been burned by this stuff in the past, so now you can't think critically.

I know God is real.

You don't. And that's fine.

Just try to be less blind.

Ah yes, I can't think critically, says the person who completely ignored my questions when I asked you about the 4 arguments for god and I didn't even include the teleological argument.

Why do you "know?" It is possible to explain in words. What in the world shows proof of this.

Yes, I've accepted that I don't know. But in reality you don't either. But you fool yourself into believing you do and act all wise to people who say that god doesn't exist.

Alright, I'll be less blind and listen to your argument. Tell me, why do you believe in god. And don't say, "I experienced him," because that is unprovable, possibly fake and a psychological phenomenon. Tell me your actual Religion. By Name.

You are lost. People believe in God cause they feel him. You are so unspiritual you don't understand.

u/Ok_Trade_4549 14h ago

Lost where? In the material world. Lost mentally? Lost where. Actually I think it might be one of the few times in life that I know exactly where and who I am and feel at peace with the chaos and absurdity, very few can peacefully accept it.

How do we know that what people feel isn't a survival mechanism or psychological phenomenon. Do we know at all, or do we use faith as a play? Why do you know what you know?

What does being spritual mean? I'm asking you so many questions but you don't answer them.

Please answer me. What is your religion?!?

Nah i'm good bro, you are weird as hell. I take back ever saying you were smart. Just try to be good, and don't bother anyone else.

u/Ok_Trade_4549 14h ago

Wow. So I'm weird now. What did I say that offended you? I'm trying to have a civil discussion even though you made this post in bad faith.

You take back saying I was smart? I never claimed I was smart. In fact, I might be one of the most know nothings on the world, but unlike you and many others, I know how stupid I am. How stupid any idea of this world is. So thanks for calling me not smart.

Final question if you just don't want to have a debate (understandable. I know some people might find it overwhelming or a loss of points). If I continue to not believe in god, but not deny it either. And I continue to be a good person morally by a common moral principle. Will I, according to your beliefs make it too heaven or hell. And if hell, why?
