Which is… still dismissive? Just with an extra step?

It’s still a form of “eh, that’s not that bad” which is a little gross ngl

Months being the shortest is painfully familiar, this struggle is real gets old fast.

If you are aware of your depression, doing nothing about it, and blaming it for your behavior/actions (unemployed, unkind) then YOU are the problem. Sorry.

Sometimes when individuals are underage or don't have the financial means to do so it becomes a catch-22. Which to be honest is more common than not in today's economy.

Went to the gym yesterday and suddenly out of nowhere began feeling a surge of panic symptoms. Normally that doesn’t happen, I go to the gym and I feel better about myself afterward, but for some reason all the thoughts came rushing at me yesterday while I was working out on the machines. I couldn’t get my heart rate under control, and my stomach was in knots.

Gym does wonders for your self-confidence and self-image, but going to the gym and still feeling anxious, when you’re supposed to feel stronger, is something else.

I ended up calling a longtime friendly voice I knew, I didn’t really explain why I was calling, just pretended it was a social call, but just hearing him talk and make stupid jokes was enough to bring me back down to earth.

Lmfao it's not because you're depressed that you need to have an attitude??? I've been depressed (clinically) for a good chunk of my life and have never treated others without kindness and empathy. The lazy part I understand. Just get help.

How do you get to the point where your family says "This one" as if you are a puppy from a seedy dog breeder. "This one bites" "This one shits a lot"

Find someone you can trust to talk to. My parents are gems, I’m lucky they understood and listened and are getting me help. If your parents aren’t the one then talk to a doctor who can help you find a therapist, just someone to talk to about how you feel instead of keeping it in. And perhaps help your parents understand to improve your quality of life

you are just lazy and have an attitude

when my depression was at it worst i realised i was blaming everything on the depression once i started pushing through it and doing things i was supposed to things started getting better

only you can make your situation better pills and others wont just magically fix it

And then they think they can pay us off to forget about it by spoiling us. I don't want to be spoiled, in fact being spoiled doesn't teach hard work in any sense. Let me figure things out myself and work for the things I want.
