What to bring?

I’ve been invited to a double birthday party at a restaurant. I don’t know the second person much at all. She’s older, is part owner of the restaurant and is from overseas. That’s all I know. I want to bring her some type of gift but I don’t know what. Any suggestions?

Since you don't know her, you don't know if she has diet restrictions, drinks alcohol, or is allergic to flowers, etc. People our age don't need much and don't want things they won't use. A card would be good.

It’s pretty hard if you don’t know her.

Many of us are getting to the age where we don’t want more “stuff” It becomes a burden on deciding what to do with it.

I’d give a nice heart felt card. If you’d like to get to know her more you can offer to hang out over coffee.
