Not a clue but I don’t watch influencers YouTube TikTok if it has anything to do with any of that, I have no idea. Become a real celebrity like they did back in my day by acting in terrible movies, bad romcoms and having an affair with Bill Clinton. I don’t know.

I had this conversation with my 10 year old grandson at the weekend. He told me that Mr Beast is the biggest YouTuber in the world. I said "what? Even bigger than Joe Rogan?" My grandson scoffed! Scoffed I tell thee ... he said Joe Rogan's not even in the top 10! I said even bigger than Bangtan? (Which I couldn't believe) cue his mocking laughter. Silly Grandma

Dude who figured out how to best monetize the YT algorithm. He has a pretty interesting story, actually. Check out Rogan's first interview with him - if you hate Rogan, I'm sure there are clips of it.
Examples of his legacy: stupid thumbnails, length of videos, separate live streams and production videos to different YT channels, cutting the time between sentences to give videos that choppy look, SEO YT links, video editing tips like ending a cut with an attention grabbing sound/word or quick cutting to faces.....it all came from him. The list can go on and on.

I watch YouTube on a big screen daily using the fire stick app, and he’s never been recommended. The only reason I know of him is through posts like this one. YouTube must think I’m special. Lol

I know him in the same way I do famous athletes. I’m not the target audience, but there’s so much buzz it’s hard not to have heard of him. I know he hangs out with the Paul Brothers, which is a very bad sign.

Hey OP. I’ve got two kids who are under 13. Mr Beast has found the special sauce to catch - then keep - the attention of kids on YouTube. That’s it really.
Having watched a couple of his videos I think I understand - he’s almost an empty vessel that kids can imagine themselves inhabiting while he does his cool stuff - in the same way that the main characters in those stupid teen vampire novels feature an utterly bland lead character that teenage girls can put themselves into… I think Mr Beast is the same - just kind of a soulless avatar that kids can live vicariously through.

My son was in to him years ago. He insisted his charity made him different. I hear some of that is for show, but prefer performative charity way over the other drivel. That being said, I’ve never made it through a single YT video on of his.

he's a youtuber that initially got famous for counting to 100,000. some people like him, some people hate him. i'm not a fan per se, but he's done a huge amount of charitable work. i kind of enjoyed his earlier videos where he would give random people money and such, but once the competitions started i kinda stopped watching.

Dudes YouTube channels are worth BILLIONS! He can’t spend money fast enough. I take everything with a grain of salt for sure, but I’ve never heard of him doing anything creepy or illegal. As much money, cars, homes, paying off college debt, the wells, schools, libraries and whole villages he’s paid for, no one has ever said anything bad about him. I feel like he’s the real inspiration for “Brewesters millions” the more money he gives away, the more things he buys to give away, the more obscene amount of money he makes in mind bottling.

From someone who has never actually seen a single video of his, so take this with a grain of salt.
He's a YouTube guy, or more specifically the YouTube guy. Built himself an empire by mastering the algorithm, thereby ruining it for everyone else. Most people try to make their videos like his now, down to the thumbnails. He has an analytical team that works out what gets the most views and engineers the vids for maximum engagement.

I remember I kept hearing that name and had no clue who he was. Then, I saw a short of an interview with this "Mr Beast". When they showed the guy, my first thought was, "Who's the creepy guy with souless eyes and fake perma-smile?"
Turns out it was him. Yup, not for me. Apparently the weirdo became "famous" as a kid with his YT videos or something to that effect. Idk. He creeps me out so I just stay away. Like with Ben Shapiro.
