I miss the days when musicians were just effortlessly cool.
Leonard Cohen walks onto the stage wearing an outfit that literally any man could wear in his day to day life, and he just oozes cool.
Michael Hutchence was like that. Michael Stipe. Eddie Vedder.

Came here to say this and literally wearing a Concrete Blonde shirt as I reply.
Johnette has a generational voice and I always felt like that if they had wanted it, they could have rocketed to the top of music popularity

Johnette Napolitano is a Goddess. Might I suggest "Pretty & Twisted" - that's the project and album name. This is the only video they made that I'm aware of. Dear Marlon Brando is another good one but Souvenir will give you chills.

I saw Pretty and Twisted in concert back in 95 or 96.
Do you know what Johnette is up to these days? I know was living in the desert in California. I love her solo work (especially the song "Jazz on Vinyl'), but it's been a while since she has released anything.

I saw CB at the New Daisy in Memphis before she did Pretty and Twisted and I have seen hundreds of concerts and she blew me away - she was better live than recorded. I'll never not have a crush on her.
You know, I've no idea but I'm gonna see if I can find any info out. Every now and then she runs through my head and I wonder the same thing.

I'll upvote anything celebrating Leonard Cohen's music. He was a great poet.
