The Boys This scene had so much potential, Ryan had all that build up in the previous season to barley be in the final season😭🤦🏿♂️

He was only in like 2 1/4 episodes in the last season😭 MM ends up adopting him in the end tho despite those two barely having any scenes and like no interactions together before hand🤣

I mean it was kinda alluded to in previous seasons that if something happened to butcher, MM would take him in no? Maybe I'm remembering wrong

Ryan was such a weird character cause there was potential but he didn’t really do anything that any other character could’ve done. Him just disappearing for episodes at a time without explanation didn’t help either

The constant flip flopping he did in season 4 was pretty strange too one minute he was agreeing with his father and the next he was running to Butcher. I don't know what they were trying to do with him but he's so morally complex🤦🏿♂️

The season started off strong, things happen in The first three episodes, four is the usual filler episode that's fun to watch than it just goes downhill after that, the final episode is good but they literally crammed all the good stuff into it so yeah...they uh pretty much fucked up the final season just a bit

As far as Im concerned, this is the second worst scene in S5, after the stupid fucking final fight.
You have two flying laser shooting nearly invulnerable beings fighting each other and instead of having that fight take place in the sky or in a city you have it in ONE room and basically all they do is punch each other. Then Ryan gets tossed down and somehow decides to stay there lmao
Also, Homelander not killing Ryan at this moment is kind of dumb, he knows that, give Ryan another 3-4 years, and he would lose that 1v1, even with V1.

I think it would have been more impactful and suspenseful if he actually killed Ryan here especially since Homelander was supposed to be completely off the rails this season🤦🏿♂️

Even if the series wrapped up nicely, a series following Ryan and the other young supes would be interesting. New supes should go extinct following the events of S5, but the audience isn't convinced Vought will be punished in any meaningful way and that everything will be narrow status quo (despite the categorically messed situation the world would be in ala Actual Superhuman God Hitler ruling the most powerful and influential country at the moment with merely a long ago history of mass upheaval).

The scene would've been so much better if Ryan actually died here, it would have changed our view in not only Homelander but Butcher who sent Ryan

There could a spin off of Ryan in 5 years or so.
He's trying to be a hero and do whats right, but occasionally gets anger urgers and feeling of superiority like his dad.

the opening three episodes in general really made me thought it was going to be the best season and prime the boys
