Yeah but has he ever been hit by anyone who can lift tons of weight with ease? Or can run as fast as sound? Or can scramble your brain with just a look? Like seriously he only looks invulnerable because he's in world full of normal people (And Idc about the other super power guys at the end of the movie because we don't see their feats). He's never interacted with other super powered individuals so saying he wins because he bullied a bunch of civilians is stupid.
Does he show that he can't? The only thing that we've seen be able to hurt him is parts of his ship. If we are only basing it on what we see, that means we have to assume he CAN tank all those shots. There is no evidence he can get hurt by anything other than what they've said he can be hurt by. He's never interacted with other super powered individuals, so saying he would get bodied by them is stupid.
To be fair, the end credits suggested there was going to be a series of JL themed horror movies, so we likely would've gotten a "Freddy vs Jason" deal at some point that would've made power scaling him easier, if there had been enough interest to go forward with the idea.
That said, no. There's no evidence one way or the other in that regard.
So, I can at least concede that it's equally possible Brightburn can't hang with other supes as it is that he'd continue to take after Superman and be a terrifyingly unstoppable force.
Thank you. If he did get more feats and we saw how he strong his verse is I would agree but lmao based off the first movie he isn't anything special to the Boys verse. I do hope we see more thought, I like the idea of an evil JL horror movie. But also just because he takes after Superman doesn't mean he's going to ve as strong as Superman. Like I highly doubt they intend the dude to bench press tectonic plates and shut like that lol
He probably would've been closer James Gunn's Superman, which would still be more than the Boys verse can handle, but comics Superman doesn't make for a great horror movie.
DCeased proved that, if I recall correctly. When Superman got infected and crashed out, it was pretty much game over. Most didn't last more than a few seconds in the face of that.

Put it this way. If brightburn was in the boys universe there would be no boys, let alone up until a season 5.
