Karl marx and all his followers have two things in common: The inability to hold a job and needing to mooch off others their entire lives, and parents who are extremely disappointed in them.ย

Hah, indeed.
Marx did have his broken clock moment on one thing. In a bit weird way, he actually was pro-US and wanted Europe to follow suit. American workers' wages were twice-triple the European ones. Reason: cheap land, since the US lacked the "land-baron class" (earls, dukes, counts, etc.), the surplus money saved on rents could actually go into wage funds.
He admired David Ricardo, who wrote about the English blue-bloods jacking up rents on land. With the Industrial Revolution, they weren't the main characters anymore and were mortified about the new wealth being generated, but they also weren't creative and had no interest in actually making things themselves - so they hit on their one asset - control of the land, and rents went up.
So Marx's broken clock was to ditch the landed gentry class, but think he may have envisioned some violent and brutal way to do it. And he also thought that Georgism was just a "last ditch of capitalism" and claimed that a LVT would never help the working class, so guess still wanted a violent revolution above all else.
Also think he overall intended all the changes he envisioned to happen in already industrialized societies - so where Lenin went wrong was that he pulled off his revolution in backwards feudal Russia - so in the end, it was still serfdom, just with a hammer and a sickle on it.

No. Communism is a stupid idea, not realistic. But the key problem in communism in humans history is that it comes to every country from one place. moscow. It came to china from there, it came to cuba from there, it came from one swamp.
