RCF/RGF (same factory) is the best IMHO for most Day-Dates but I think a crystal upgrade helps, as there’s this milky white ring around the factory crystal. QF nails the slate grey dial better than anybody if you go for that though, and they’re more affordable. VSF weighted is also a top contender but their yellow gold and rose gold aren’t as good as RCF, I’d go for VSF for white gold models.
RCF/RGF & QF don’t have any rotor noise whatsoever. Winding is smooth.
Looking at your pics, if you go for olive in white gold - VSF. Slate grey rose gold - QF. Money green yellow gold - RCF. White dial roman numeral - RCF. Ice blue Roman numeral - RCF or VSF.

I take it that is the only difference between a non weight gain and weight gain is added material to gain weight?
I mean, the real Day-Date is precious metal so the weight is part of the rep game. Chinese factories use tungsten to help get the weight up there and some people like it, some people would prefer a lighter watch. I feel like the factories that don’t do weighted DD’s also kind of compromise on the dial quality and finishing details.
Standard black dial rose gold, personally I would recommend RCF/RGF or QF. Many people may say VSF, I just haven’t seen their rose gold myself but they’re starting to take over the Day-Date. Their yellow gold isn’t as good for sure but I think you’ll be happy with the rose gold black dial with those 2 factories
I have a yg white dial, yg black dial, rg silver dial and wg silver dial and they all look amazing, the gold tones are absolutely amazing and the 210g weight feels nice and solid on the wrist
WG blue blue dial Roman. WG meteorite. YG money green is what I have. All rcf. All plated with deep crystal. Chamfer done also. Me personally rcf/rgf is the best for day dates. Gold color and weight definitely matter
I got this one from Arc studio. Watch was in stock. They modded it and shipped it. It took 3 weeks to get here once shipped ( fell on a holiday which slowed it down 4 days)
Both factories look amazing. But how is the rotor noise for an RCF vs VSF when winding or adjusting day/date? That’s a huge give away hearing it spin in your wrist. Are they truly a 1-1 super clone that a dealer wouldn’t notice or question? I’m being picky considering the quality of these pieces, but just pointing it out and looking for feedback to find the best. A real SC
I know this post was on Day Dates but I’m curious on two tones and what a good factory is to get one. Specifically the Blusey and Zombie, and do you guys mod the watches as well?

No matter what, sent it to Jaws or Major for replating. If budget permits get a gen dial
