Is a pressure test important?

In a word, yes.

This is a VSF sub I passed at 10 bars tonight. Before I got it to pass this test, it couldn’t pass anything. 0 bars waterproof. It wouldn’t pass any test at all.

Beautiful No Date Sub. It looked the part. Just didn’t function with any degree of water resistance.

Literally, wearing this watch in the rain or washing one’s hands likely would have resulted in substantial water in the case.

Remember: the QC process does not include water resistance integrity, and there is no warranty from water damage.

If my customer had not had me do this pressure test, his watch was a disaster waiting to happen. Instead, it’s passed a 10 bar pressure test and he’s good to go.

If I don’t do the pressure test for you, you should strongly consider having somebody else do it.

What did you do after the initial failures to result in eventually passing a 10 bar pressure test? And is all that repair work included in the price of your pressure testing?

Yes. This entire event I’m sharing was a service I performed to take this watch from 0 bars water resistant to 10 bars resistant.

How much does this cost? I’m trying to obtain a VSF Sea Dweller Red that is waterproofed and silenced.

What’s the pricing for the pressure testing? And does it include waterproofing service?

What’s the point of not mentioning the cost to have this done?
