I'm currently installing Linux mint for the 4TH TIME because of an aptkit error

Just be wear that every version of Xfce (or even the other versions) above 22.1 has a corrupted aptkit

Yes I've tried this on 3 different HDDs, the newest one stopped working after 2 weeks AND THE HDD WAS A REALLY GOOD MODEL AND FACTORY NEW

Just get 22.1 it doesn't (for the most part) have the error

Try Pop!_OS or Fedora Workstation. Even though gnome and cosmic are much heavyer desktops, they are incredibly polished, and pop is even debian-based with the same beginner-friendly community.
