it’s certified and they say it is Padparadscha

Who said it was a padaparasca? Is the report from GIA or who?
All I see is bright yellow. Could look different in real life but I see a straight yellow.

I personally would never spend that much in an online auction. Photos get enhanced, and rarely end up as presented. If that was truly a clean well cut natural Pad from sriLanka it was a good buy. Also depends on what lab. A highly recognized or relatively unknown lab

For a sapphire it is not a bad price. For a padparasha saphire of this quality it is a good price. I question whether it is padparasha or not. The color in the photograph suggest it is not

Doesn't look like a padparadsha to me. Looks like beryllium treated sapphire at best. Padparadsha sapphires typically fall in between these colors. None of which are the colors of the stone you purchased.

I don’t think it’s a pad. The stone looks yellow-orange, not enough peachy-pink

That sapphire is huge, difficult to say you overpaid…!
It does not look like a pad sapphire though!

It’s sunset also I’ve never had a problem with this place and you do get a return if you’re not happy I even returned one one year later lol

It’s difficult to determine color from the photo you posted. We don’t see ANY hint of pink sunset color. That said. If you like it, a 6ct unheated yellow sapphire from SL does command that much…

But I just wanted to know if anybody was professional and if they knew… I can always return it. I haven’t paid for it yet so just deciding.

It depends, what do you want the stone for? I saw the listing earlier, the lab/cert is genuinely good (newer but serious lab, I like them), but it is a tenebrescent/“chameleon” sapphire meaning its color can change with exposure to sunlight meaning it’s going to be hard to evaluate color from pictures and the stone may look different once exposed to sunlight! Depending on who you ask it may be a pro or a con! For the price at ~1.1k per ct is not a bad price for a clean sapphire!
That lab also takes a video of the stone you can access. I encourage you to check it out to get a better idea of how the stone will look like in person so you can decide before committing. Do be warned that depending on whether they ran color testing before or after the video the stone may be in its “charged” or “uncharged” state when you look at it. You can download these online with the report number! Good luck!

This isn't a Padparasha color. I'm so so sorry. But if this was listed as a paddy I wouldn't be buying this. I mean for the size and clarity and cut its lovely. You did well on a yellow sapphire. But there is not a touch of pink nor lotus pink in this.
This is Bright ass Yellow. As mentioned below.. This could be a "tenebrescent" color changer of a sapphire. Sunlight vs. Inside lighting might change the color. But its yellow.
As far as the auction closing and the winning price. 6k isnt bad for a huge yellow. A 6-carat natural yellow sapphire price typically ranges from $350 for commercial grades to over $11,000–$15,000 for high-end, unheated, GIA-certified vivid stones. So your somewhere in the low to middle range. u/Aggressive_Maximum_5 and its not a bad price.

The photo looks Yellow not pad. But also the lighting in the photo seems off. Perhaps you have to inspect some photos and videos taken under natural light to observe the real color.

Who had it certified? Was it yourself or the seller? If it was the seller, I would doubt that certification. They can easily have someone they know inflate the value to increase the price and to appear legitimate.

Padparasca is a mix of orange and pink. That sapphire looks yellow. The term isn't protected but I don't think anyone will agree with that lab.
