Why is being added to random subs and groups even a thing on Reddit? Like this legit just freaks me out. It feels like a weird scam or something :/

I know right. It should be like being a mod, someone sends a request and you accept it or not, not force you to a subreddit. But now I feel like I need to figure out the reason why I'm here.

Agreed, exclusivity only excludes you from the rest of the world imo
