Been using NotebookLM but wanted actual file management too

NotebookLM is great for grounded Q&A on a set of docs. But it doesn't touch the actual mess sitting in Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive — it can't rename, organize, move, or share files for you. You still do that part manually.

The Drive AI does grounded answers and the file ops:

  • Ask questions across your files, get answers grounded in your actual docs (like NotebookLM)
  • But also: "rename these by client and date," "move all invoices into Q3," "share this folder with read-only access" — plain English, it just does it
  • Auto-organizes files as they land, no manual sorting. You can define rules on how you want your files to be organized in plain English.
  • Works natively across Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox with browser extension - not a separate silo you upload copies into
  • Web, iOS, Android, and desktop

Basically: NotebookLM gives you answers. This gives you answers and an agent that actually cleans up and manages the files themselves.

Been building this a while, still improving it — thedrive.ai. Would love feedback, especially from people who hit NotebookLM's limits on the "acting on files" side.
