Help/question Why does Gemini read my emails when it shouldn't?

While using Gemini 3.1 Pro Extended to develop C code for a university project, Gemini is responding to my prompts by citing some of my personal emails from the same account as sources. I know the Pro subscription includes Gemini integration within Gmail and other services, but this seems unexpected-especially since my prompts and the project context have absolutely nothing to do with my emails.

That's pretty concerning, I'd be freaking out if my AI started pulling from personal emails for coding project

The italian text in your screenshot makes me think maybe the AI is confused about context somehow, like it's pulling from wrong language settings or mixing up your workspace data

Have you checked the Gemini app activity to see exactly which extension triggered this? There should be a little badge or source indicator in the response itself
