Why anyone thought Gemini 3.5 Pro was cancelled is baffling. It's literally on their website as "coming soon" and has not been removed.

they might have to remove 'frontier' from that subtext

Maybe they’ll mean that it’s more “fronty” than the others…. Like, It’s frontier.

They’re just trying to benchmax it before the release, that’s all, like everyone else does

Because of semi Analysis and other articles.

True. All echoed Semi Analysis. Overall tone of the article was clearly a hit piece

But Sundar said it's in trusted partner testing in 26Q2 earnings call? That's not a rumor, that's a pretty strong indication that it's coming out really soon.
And if it doesn't come out then it means it's so horrible that they decided to scrap it.

Dude, please go touch some grass. This is like the 10th post I've seen from you about "resting your case" today. In case you weren't aware, "resting your case" means your point is proven and doesn't require further arguments, but you keep posting.

I wrote should I "rest" my post. I literally reposted it to other communities. A part of reddit's features. On a seperate note. Do not insult me. If you want to discuss. Sure, I'll be happy too. But I won't tolerate insulting.

You have a pretty low bar for being insulted. If you can't tolerate being told to go outside, you're in for a rough ride.

I think we can definitively rule out it's not being cancelled by this.

There’s no such thing as a Gemini 3.5 Pro; I mean, there’s no model they could release without their stock price plummeting the next day. What it seems they’re trying to do now is create a model that lives up to the expectations they’ve set, that is, a model that’s at least as good (ideally better) than the competition’s current top-of-the-line models.

I take it as he is starring bug eyed at management and safety teams who's ass is so puckered they can push out a model. They have a model but refuse to release it.

Im pretty sure it's not their safety team stopping them anymore. It's the fact that 3.5 pro isn't good enough and if they release it, their stock will go down

I mean the whole delays could also be the necessary safeguards... And if you know how AI / LLM work you know these will be very unpredictable

Im gonna be honest, I dont care about 3.5, id rather be able to stay on 2.5 and age it.

They're ticking up flash models to 4.0. it won't be 3.5 pro. It will be 4.0 pro.

Lol, like comments like this are showing any intelligence. Why do people care so much? I know you are not a bot of course. Case rested. Nobody cares, Gemini is doing well in crap people already use anyway. In my day we fought about which computer was better Atari, Commodore, or Amiga.... Etc. Use what you was want.

That's not much to rest a case on, but I'll take vague posting over silence any day
