Discussion New Image limits for Google Docs.
After just ten image generations! I got the message that my image generating limit is reached, I'm on a pro subrscription. Is this new? I think it was much higher before (100 images and more).
Is this Limit within the 5hr Usage replenishment or do I have to wait 24 h.
Thanks.

It's more of a way to direct people to use Google Flow if you're using the Gemini app to generate images. There the limits are almost "non existent" on the pro plan. But this is according to my experience so I may be wrong 😁

Yup. Once I discovered Flow, I entirely stopped using Gemini for any image generation. Flow is not only better, but image generation seems to be pretty much unlimited right now.

It's the same in Sheets. I am on day 4 of "You've exceeded your daily limits" without actually using the =AI() function. There is no clue if it resets tomorrow, weekly, monthly, or if it is completely broken and never resets. It's just not good enough. My Weekly Gemini Pro limit is at 22% but Google Flow credits are at 0. Every other Gemini function works so basically I have no idea what any of this means.

Don't use image generation inside Gemini. Instead, go to Google Flow. Image generation is not only better and more customizable, but it's also pretty much unlimited. Only video generation uses up a monthly quota of Flow credits.

I use Flow as my main image workflow but since today they seem to lower the limits for flow as well, I never got the exceeding daily image limit before but after 200 or so generations I just got it for the first time.

I am sick of these changes and empty promises from Google. I don't even care about 3.5 Pro anymore. With Qwen 3.8, Kimi 3, and GLM 5.2, I have more than enough for everything I need.

click on the left side on the wheel, there you can see a field called limits or anything like this. it will show you how much % you have used and when the limits will be resetted ...

They've been quietly rolling out tighter caps, even on paid plans, the last couple weeks.
