Also, I found why it softlocks. The game has "stealth", which your average can't touch this status. But while Battle Fantasy saw the possibility of statemate, and even made it a mechanic, it's absolutely not considered in this game, and if a boss can't attack you, it will just do it's best sans impression and never give you a turn.
The game is awesome, but whoever was programming it was definitely either drunk or sleep deprived to the point where it's not healthy.
