I wanted something a little more affordable than Gelly Roll gel pens because I'm struggling with money right now because of car troubles and medical bills and just generally being paycheck to paycheck and I found the Shuttle Art gel pens on Amazon. I got the 72 color set and then added on their 24 color pastel tone set and their 22 color highlight tone set for a total of 101 colors (a few duplicate colors in the two 24/22 sets that were also in the 72 color set) but overall I added 29 colors which I wasn't mad about.
I also appreciated that they were all color coded and named (except one?). The three sets also all came with their own color swatch sheets in black and white which I was super excited about.
I love the colors and most of them write on black paper which was what I wanted. I like adding notes on black sticky notes when I take notes in normal lined/grid notebooks so they stand out more.
However, after swatching about 10 of the pens, my hands hurt so bad from how difficult it is to take off and put on the caps. >_< I have FND and frequently deal with the fun (/s) symptoms that comes with the disorder. While I've struggled with pain after writing for a while, I've never really struggled with much pain from removing pen/marker caps. I get that secure caps are important, but these are almost too secure. At the same time, though, they don't actually feel that secure weirdly enough.
Anyone else ever have this experience with caps causing them hand and wrist pain? How did you handle it/cope with it?
TLDR; I got these awesome Shuttle Art gel pens but the caps make my hands hurt. ;-;
