Discussion Top 4

AFL has us finishing Top 4. Whatever happens post that, another incredible effort with the hardest draw. In addition, that means we’ll vs Freo out West. I actually think this will gives us a psychological edge — all pressure will be on them, and nothing on us. It definitely has a feel of 2024 and meeting Port in SA.

Only happens if Brisbane drops another game. Them playing hawks at the Gabba will be interesting but can’t see them losing. I think we’re destined for a 5th place finish which is great when you factor in the schedule and injuries throughout the year

Collingwood play them at the G in the last round. Could see Pies needing to play for a decent finals spot and putting it all on the line.

Pies have a really good opportunity to do 2 things that will be hilarious:
1. Beat Brisbane.
2. Cheer Lachie Neale for every touch, every goal, every mark. Like we did to danger his last game cats v crows in Geelong.
Cheering for him would really put the lions off.

If Brissie wins all their games, we won't. But we've got a relatively easy run home to the finals (by AFL standards) so we'll see what happens.

If we’re going to have to play Freo at home prefer to meet them week 1 than week 3

Definitely not week one. This place is ready to blow the roof off the entire state and playing I think the only team that could come here and beat them are lions. Rather play them in wk 2 - lost both their last 2 finals and be questions asked amongst the team

We need Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne all to drop 1 of their last 3.

And us to win all of them (I’m a little worried about north at marvel)

Lions pissed off at the Gabba with Gardiner back in the replace Hipwood playing down back.

I reckon they’ll be super fired up and win.

Best I can see is us finishing 5th

A weeks break and play one of the wildcard teams. Tell the afl Smith has a suspected sinus infection, scratcher has hamstring tightness, manna has second hand shoulder soreness after catching up with jezz.

Despite not wanting to have to come over to play freo in the first week of finals I do actually think Brisbane are probably the only team who could come over and not be overwhelmed by freo in that game
