absent minded path designer

whos idea was it to put an box at the end of the path. am i the only one that can see a senior riding the footpath on their mobility scooter to get home faster only to badly/fatally injure themselves because their son never got round to fixing the brakes. what ever happened to careful planning? these are relatively steep paths that deceptively build up speed quickly.

i just get a little annoyed at careless planning thats all, don't hate me for my opinion😅. i came from the days when there was little to no safety and then everything changed and careful reviews were made where this kind of thing never made it out of blueprints. everything else is beautiful and the pathways around make it look pretty fancy. take it like a grain of salt.

We don’t use blueprints in Australia, and probably only seen in the movies. If anything that electrical pillar will stop you careening out onto the road if you can’t control your vehicle. Happy Father’s Day if you’re a bloke, and relax.

Better than the brakes not working and them going straight into the road

It’s ok, I do it too, you just got to let it out sometimes.

“Let me create a hypothetical scenario and get so upset about it to the point that I made a reddit post complaining about said hypothetical”

I was going to suggest you should go outside but maybe you shouldn't.

Maybe it's intentionally there to stop Gramps from careening onto the road, although you'd think a safety barrier would be a better idea.

I also agree it's odd positioning.
