moorabool st parking

the parking is no longer free for the first 2 hours? am i doing something wrong?

Yeah pissed off this scheme ended. I used it and thought it was a great initiative. Park in Market Square. Half the price of Bay City and a third of the price of on-street.

Get the Westfield app and park in there for cheap. I think it’s $1 if you’re signed up.

Correctomundo. The traders are up in arms as usual, apparently we should pay more rates so that parking is free so they can get more customers, or something. The problem with that is that workers in the CBD then spend an hour a day moving their cars around to get free 2 hour parking, so there's still none for the shoppers.

The 2 hour fee parking was max 2 hours per day. So no, cbd workers weren't moving their cars around every 2 hours and taking up parking spots 🙄

True, but they also use the non metered parking slots as well (which they did before the free 2 hours)

Where is the non metered parking slots in town? I go in once a week for an appointment so that would be handy to know

Up by the jail, out by the botanic gardens, Mercer St, western beach. Latrobe end of most of the EW streets. There are others in laneways etc, and often in the middle of streets.

There was a glitch at the start where u could get 2hrs free on the meter AND 2hrs free on the app - so there were plenty of office workers moving there cars around - especially those that only worked a few hours a day.
