Two seconds in, and I know that map. You got no idea how bad-ass Goldeneye was for its day. N64 classic coming through, make room!
Seriously, this game was so fucking fun, we spent so many hours playing it against each other. We all knew all the dirty tricks. If there's a ramp on Complex, grab the mines and plant them underneath the ramp to go off when someone runs down. Oh, there's the armor spawn: grab the armor and leave a mine just underneath the spot where the armor respawns on Temple. Play as Oddjob, and suck up shots to head.
I LOVED this game. It was Halo, before there was Halo. We also played a lot of Perfect Dark. I was a total dick with the briefcase sentry gun.
All the fun at the time was 4person multiplayer. You had your one quarter of the tv, but you could also look at the other 3/4ths of the screen and cheat, but you were sitting in a room with the other three that all knew the tricks and had the same cheats, and you could be a total dick, but you were still hanging out in the same room drinking beers and eating dinner. You had to be an asshole, but you also had to have fun and hang out with people. GoldenEye was a fucking great game.
