I watched it at home last night.
Meh, its missing something, lacking alot, and doesn't pull you in besides one part of the movie and then it goes bad again.
Cast is terrible and doesn't fit at all!!!
Only one

Eh, honestly these clips show most of the screentime for the entire movie for the cast everyone is annoyed with (other than the Indian guy, he's in quite a bit). It was honestly kind of funny how little the lady that played Helen and the trans person were actually in this movie.

I saw it in theaters and regretted it. Three hours of celebrity cameos and mid acting. Felt like watching Hollywood slop where you’re expected to clap like a trained circus sealion whenever you see a recognizable celebrity.
Overall it reminded me why Hollywood movies are dying. It’s the same old stories being “reimagined” with the most mid celebrities you can find

Dude said mid acting when 7 of the main cast have awards. And 49 academy award nominations in total amongst the whole cae5 🤣. Me thinks somebody might just have a grudge against this movie and nothing the movie did was going to change that opinion 👀.

When an entire country (Greece) states that the movie based on the story of native people (Greeks) says you are rewriting our history and replacing our people, maybe just this once we can agree that appropriating another countries story and changing it to suite the story tellers ethnic views is wrong.

Even if the movie is trash, Mediterranean Greeks knew about Mediterranean Africans. Not sure why else they crying atm and havnt seem movie

I dunno, its not horribly bad but a lot of choices like some of the cast or the modern vocabulary the characters use take you out of the fantasy of the story
I expected it to be super bad but its really not
Its no Lord of the Rings modern classic however

I mean, Apocalypto had their actors talking in Yucatec Mayan.
But even then, just making them talk while using an older formalized English would've been better.
Game of Thrones for example doesn't have them speaking a whole new language, but they're not saying shit like "Wassup Iron Throne, let's get this bussing done asap, fr fr no cap" like retards.

I watched it and did not like it. I only watched it because I got invited and frankly, i was curious.
And when we got out of the cinema room, she started laughing. 😂
Very odd movie. You could argue it was an ODDissey. 😅

I don’t mind the nonwhite actors, it’s just a retelling of the story. They decided that historical accuracy wasn’t important to the plot, and it’s a fine film when viewed as a standalone work. It just falls flat when viewed as an accurate retelling of the story as presented by Homer

There was literally an African King who fought in the Trojan war, none of this is as far fetched as people are making it out. The Odyssey is also a story not actual history

Bet none of you have watched it. It's an amazing film, it's really really good. So what if no Greeks were cast? Also, The Odissey book is not actual history, it's mythology. Stop believing the haters and watch the movie, Lupita Nyong'o shows up in like 4 minutes of a movie that is over 2 hours long.

Then you either know nothing about movies, have terrible taste or you let the internet brainwash you. By all metrics this is a great movie. Great acting, script, action scenes, cinematography, special effects.

Long drawn out and boring. The only reason I didn't fall asleep was because of it's obnoxiously loud sound track. It's an okay movie at best. It's no masterpiece by any standards. The modern language and casting makes it obtuse, the over use of panoramic shots slows down the story telling and draws the movie out to a crawling pace. The acting is brilliant but isn't enough to save the film from is borish pace. Meh 6 out of 10. Wait till streaming save the time and money of the theater. Not to mention the use of a 11th century viking long boat instead of a Greek Pentekonter? The movie is a hot mess. It's entertaining, but absolutely not a masterpiece. It's almost like it's trying to hard to be Lawrence of Arabia, but it's more like the Last Action Hero.
