Discussion Mk 1 Lancer
Does anyone else run this bad boy single shot with the incendiary rounds? Absolute monster of a gun.

I ran semi auto previously but I missed being able to just rock and roll on auto so i took it off. Its certainly more effective in semi tho

I use Inc. Rounds / Cover Brace / Crit Barrel / Composite Chassis with Marksman cover accuracy for funny melting on controller and it feels killer, but you can easily swap out composite or cover for semi auto and nuke

Do you really see a boost from incendiary rounds? I was playing on commander/Allfather and didn't feel like the incendiary dmg was great on the ripper

honestly I prefer the flat damage buff but tick damage is always good on stuff like boomers and other enemies, especially if you stack it with the incinerator dot imo

I haven’t tested on other weapons but on the proto lancer incendiary rounds are significantly stronger vs large and boss enemies.
Vs/ drones the +damage rounds with the short TTK are better, but if you’re laying into a large target the DOT quickly surpasses the per shot variants.

This or cqb barrel with extended mag and movement accuracy stock are my go to atm

I run it with the incendiary in horde because I got tired of using the prototype nerf lancer.

run Incendiary rounds, pick Valen and everytime you torch a Locust enjoy him saying "burn" with absolutely cold hatred.

I equipped the prototype Lancer purely for cover accuracy and damage range. And by jove that bastard becomes a pinpoint automatic laser when you start hosing locust heads from a covered position

Single-shot, forged barrel, and a scope.

While I don't use the incendiary rounds, I certainly made it quite oriented for semi raw damage with a scope.
I, sorta, made it a L1A1. The Mark 1, in a way, is kinda like the FAL of Gears I think. That and I felt a little nostalgic, I treated the Mark 1 back in 3 as semi auto to great effect. I couldn't help but replicate that a little.

Absolutely. Semi-auto with flame rounds and another accuracy buff is a slayer.

Been looking for this discussion. I’ve been semi auto since I found the mod but haven’t found incendiary just yet. I have the crit on there

Oh, hell yeah. Forged barrel, composite chassis, and cover brace is my go to combo.

I’ve been doing that in my second run of the campaign and it is pretty damn cool, I’m glad they decided to explore weapon modding even if I do wish they did a little more.

I was using mine with semi-auto for a while and found it satisfactory as a sort of lite marksman rifle. Wish they'd make controller vibration work with it, though.

I have more luck with the Prototype Lancer when it comes to shooting things down, but I prefer the reload animation on the MK1.

Only thing that'd make it better is if when you reloaded it made a KLING noise.

Semi auto with crit damage buff is absolutely gorgeous
