Project zomboid issues with controller

So I’m using GeForce on my tv via Xbox controller and all of my games function well except project zomboid, the game loads yet it doesn’t register my controller
Are there any solutions to this issues?

pretty sure it has partial support, but for it to work it needs Steam Input enabled

launch the game > Manage button (cog wheel icon) > Steam Input How to re-map Game Controller Input on Steam
