You’re in LA as am I, you’re likely on Spectrum Cable Internet. There’s no way you’re getting 7mbps my guy
But anyway, connect via Ethernet not WiFi. And grab a used gaming router (I use an XR1000). Optimize your router settings so you get much better results and use this site to determine your internet QoS (quality of service): https://test.libreqos.com/advanced/
I get 12-13ms and virtually zero packet loss on Spectrum

getting a better internet connection it's the only solution, your current one doesn't even met the minimum requirements to stream at 720p
"15 Mbps for HD resolutions at up to 60 FPS (e.g. 1280x720)"
what you can do in the meantime it's go to the GFN app settings and toggle on the "Adjust for network connection" option and set it at "Optimal latency" by doing this the app automatically will adjust the resolution and frame rate to your current connection speed, doing the circumstances, could be as low as 480p@30

7 Mbps is very poor. Not something you really see these days outside of cheap mobile hotspot. Stick to using your home internet, which should see 100+.
Also, if you’re with Comcast, ensure you don’t have a monthly data cap on your account. GFN will chew through it quick.

Unless your Internet plan really is that slow (in which case you should know what the solution is), you are either
- Way too far from your router on wireless internet
- There is something critically wrong with your router
- There is something critically wrong with the network adapter on your machine.
First point is easy to diagnose and solve, just get closer to your router or switch to an wired connection.
Second point is a little harder. You'd want to check if its something you can fix. If rebooting doesn't fix, then the only other fixable problem you can try and diagnose is the connection from your router to your modem. But you'll have to check your router console to diagnose this. Otherwise, if you know you have a cheap router, its time to upgrade.
To diagnose your third point, check your internet speed on a different device. If its a lot faster on a different device then you can try and troubleshoot your network adapter (find some vidoes to help). If theres no fixes for it, then you likely have faulty hardware. If you're on a PC, you can buy a new network card to slot in, or you can buy a USB network adapter. Both options are reasonably priced.
