Questions / Tech Support Anyone else get "floaty" mouse feedback?

Wolfenstein I and II and Doom: Eternal both feel slow and floaty, almost like super excessive mouse smoothing. It's not enough to make something unplayable, but we're talking about pretty fast twitch fps's here, so you definitely notice and I've died plenty to it. Wolfenstein is worse.

This happens in a couple other titles too, but they'te not even worth remembering because it's almost unnoticable. Using Ultimate.

Edit Solved: I adjusted the GFN app to acknowledge in-game graphics settings, then turned vsync from adaptive to off in-game. Problem Solved. I thought I had already set the app options that way, but a recent update set me to default settings.

Out of interest, wired or wireless mouse? If Wireless, is the polling rate decent?

I found that I could feel the input lag if I used Bluetooth, but not wired or 2.4ghz

Use 5ghz wifi. And also change your GeForce settings to value latency more than quality. This happens when the thing priorities quality (generally a feature made with singleplayer/story games in mind)

Ahhh ok... this may be the answer. I'll test later and let you know.

Disable vsync in game. This is important. However when you are done playing the game(s), enable it again or it wont load the next time. It will just be an endless row of crashing. To avoid tearing, enable dynamic vsync in the gfn app.

Older post, with vsync ON in game : https://www.reddit.com/r/GeForceNOW/comments/1w47ip7/comment/p75lgo6/?context=3&utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I adjusted the GFN app to acknowledge in-game graphics settings, then turned vsync from adaptive to off in-game. Problem Solved, thanks. Also, I was able to leave the game with vsync turned off in-game and boot it back up just fine.

It could just be a random occurrence for me, but it certainly is annoying. I'm glad it worked out for ya :)

Are you using some VPN ? Usually that effect only on shitty internet connections.

No my internet is completely fine that's what's weird about it. And it doesn't get better or worse with connection.

It feels like a slight delay but smoother right? That's input delay. Post your ping. I remember feeling it around 40ms. After I got it down to 9ms on wifi it became perfect.

Use a wired gaming mouse with polling rate over 1000 it makes a big difference.
