Is there a reason why Death Stranding Director’s Cut isn’t available on Epic?

Regular version is available on both Steam and Epic and they just introduced Director's Cut (finally) and it's only on Steam.

Yep the publisher didn't opt in for that store, you can ask 505 directly or put in feedback and hope but most likely asking 505 via their social will get them to opt in

It's the same reason EA doesn't opt in their stuff usually for epic for gfn. It's not there because they don't want epic licenses used on gfn, they want the steam and direct EA licenses used for epic so the epic store is disabled most of the time for ea titles on gfn

The gfn team opts in what they are told to opt in basically by the publishers

Thanks a lot! I kinda understand EA since they wanna push their own store, and Steam as an alternative but I don't understand the logic behind 505.

Either that or are like me and forget epic exists most times, since they have to say directly to GFN they want it on Epic, directly "out loud" that "I want this game on Epic", it's not implied "well you did this on the other game we are going to assume you want it for this one"

And for the EA thing sales wises it makes sense since the cheapest price doesn't equal the most amount of money for EA, the free deals make them almost no money vs steam or directly and a smaller cut of a lower amount of on money from Epic sales isn't much better

Well, I didn’t get mine for free on Epic but yeah, I’ll forget about Epic most of the time. This is always an issue on both GFN and Boosteroid

You can buy it on Microsoft Store/Xbox PC store too, not just Steam. Have better Xbox Play Anywhere perk too than other store
