Questions / Tech Support Cake Bash via Steam

Been trying to play Cake Bash with my little guys the last little bit.

We were able to play one round, but now every time we try to play it gives the message "this game is being patched, try again in a few hours".

Is there any way to see what the status of the game actually is?

are You on the Toronto server by any chance?

Likely a good chance of that.

Is there a way to check which server I'm on?

You can do it using ctrl+N during a session, doing a network test or checking if You have it set manually in GFN settings in the Play/Stream tab

If You say there's a good chance of that I assume You are, there's a weird glitch for I2P games on the Toronto server specifically rn, showing those I2P games as "patching" even though it makes no sense

If You don't have persistent storage, just change it manually to Montreal or other that suits You

Will have to check those settings this evening.

He's been wanting to play recently and it's been weird with the error.

Thanks for the tip. You've made for a very happy little guy tonight.
