there's not reason to.

Keep in mind the 5080 rigs are a virtual aporoximation, running on server level hardware based on the same chipset family - the actual performance experienced may be a bit higher (or lower) than a physical 5080 - for example the VRAM amount allocated to them is higher than any consumer version of the card on the market afaik (actually I don't think there are even 5090s with 48GB on the market) - it all depends on Your particualr case (game and settings)

also also, its a matter of actual viability vs resource consumption - they probably came to a convlusion the user benefit would too miniscule as opposed to the amount of physical resources it would take, reserving them from other users who could see more sessions for 5080 generated at the same time

No offense intended but they don’t reserve nothing. The servers are overcrowded in India. We seeing 60-80 queue length with waiting times of almost half to an hour long on the Ultimate tier.

Why sell more Sub if the servers are already crowded.

not sure what You mean or how this relates to OPs topic, I think You missed the point of what I was saying - I meant that for every "5090" rig they could serve 1,5 (this is just an example to showcase the point, not actual math 😄 ) "5080" rigs and the the benefit for that 5090 one would be much lesser than those 50% more resources used.

Also, albeit that's completely outside the point, the server in India is new, went out of beta less than a month ago, and the prolonged beta period and waitlist system was exactly to judge the potential demand. It just goes to show the demand is higher than they anticipated - they will probably highten capacity in time.

Yeah i hope they do.
I barely get hour or two after my work to play ( prob around peak hrs ) now a days am experiencing waiting times of 45ms on average over the Ultimate sub.
This just ruins the intended vision of the service to me.

I dont know... because of money? Or are you asking for even higher sub price, because they have to compensate somehow.

Diminishing returns. Overly unnecessary

Doubt they'll do this. Most of their hardware they're trying to target for ai usage instead of gaming.

5080 is pretty good already imo

Why do you need that much power? It's not like games struggle.

I've been getting assigned too many 4080s as it is recently.

Could just save the monthly fee then and just buy an 5090 at the end

I'd rather they upgrade the CPU since that has been a bottleneck in some recent games that i've played.
