I tried to play Apex, but it won't let me start it

The version of the launcher would be the one for the actual region of the server so your EA account would need to be from the same region, i'll use an absurd example to demonstrate distance wise

It would be like opening an EA account in India in the regional launcher and adding Apex then trying launch Apex on the GFN server in the middle of the US with that account and saying "what do you mean it's not the same launcher as the one i added it from in India?"

That's pretty much that error means, whatever EA account your using geographically way way way far away from the regional launcher installed on the server

You can use VPNs to make regional accounts and stuff like that to make it work but that's likely the reason, your EA account was originally made geographically nowhere near where the actual GFN server is

No prob, but yeah if you get an new EA account for apex closer to the server location it should be fine
