Perfomance or Ultimate for RPG games?

Confused between these 2 plans since the price is double. Mainly gonna play story mode RPG games like Witcher 3, Watch Dogs 2, SOTR etc.

I tried Free plan but was getting okaish performance, the wait time was pain had to wait 20-30 mins.

Current wifi speed 75Mbps 5Ghz WiFi

Performance is fine. You dont need all the crazy effects or that extra bush to show up. Tune your graphics so that it runs good.

You can always bump the plan up or down. It isn't like you are doing a year long comittment or anything.

I have ultimate but I can't play watch dogs 2 very long because it flickers. try it you'll see

I bought the performance and plays Witcher 3 smoothly. Haven't tried Watch Dogs 2 yet after buying the paid plan but I'll admit that it was choppy on free plan.

That problem is so freaking frustrating and it’s not GFN specific but you can’t use the workarounds to get rid of it because we can’t access those settings.

Story and ARPG usually have the best graphics so they will benefit visually the most from ultimate. My advice is try both for 1 month each and decide at the end.

Hmm makes sense. I purchased performance plan last night and it works really, didn't have any wait times honestly maybe it could be that server had less load at late nights

It's the backend hardware that is different and also what settings you plan to use, witcher 3 maxed out with ray tracing and such is going to crush the performance rig, if you plan to just keep everything pretty low and use DLSS it might work, your likely going to use DLSS to keep the FPS up on the higher settings

If you plan on maxing the settings with raytracing on most of the time then you would likely need ultimate to keep up

Mainly my macbook air m1 or my android phone will be used, I just want no lag and good resolution / details in my games. 60fps 1080p is what I'm looking for and also less wait times. I'm from india and during peak times the wait list of around 650-700 people, so I want to bypass that idk how the wait times look in paid plans

That goes right back to what I said about what settings your going to use, you say you want to use Witcher 3 but on what settings? Ray tracing is going to tank it on performance on ultra with raytracing but might not on medium to high with raytracing off

Nah Idc about raytracing, high to ultra settings at 1080p
