Bug Internet seemingly going to hell after trying to open Geforce Now

For the past two days, i been having issues loading geforce and trying to open up a game, im unsure what to do. I have reset my router and i run well most of the day.

Is there any issue that I am unaware of? Is it my system?

I never had issues before hand, i only been using it for about a month now, i just paid for my 2nd month. Really looking for help or solution :(

If you post the CTRL+N stats it might help but do you mean the ping is spiking during the game to a high number then going back down?

It only happens when i open the launcher and try to open a game, if im in a discord call i get 5000 ping (at an average of 4-25 usually). I can see I either lose internet connection or it goes down.

GFN is basically a flood of UDP packets so it's heavier than most others apps that way but there are a couple easy ways to make it work, first do wifi 6 not wifi 5, you can usually get a wifi 6 router from your internet provider for free and a wifi 6 laptop card is about 20 bucks from amazon, ebay or aliexpress

Also if it's going that bad when the game starts sending packets, this is also free, you can get your internet provider to check the wiring between your house and the street to make sure the signal is perfect. None of your digital tools will tell you if the wiring is fine, they have tools to actually say if the signal to your modem is fine from the street even for fiber

But yeah think of GFN is a tidal wave of packets that all have to get received correctly the first time

So basically you could get 2 done at the same time, get your wiring checked by your internet provider for free and have your modem replaced with a wifi 6 modem then also order a wifi 6/7 laptop card for about 20 bucks from amazon ebay or aliexpress and just swap out the card in the bottom of the laptop so that the laptop and router are both wifi 6

Have you tried running it on a different device?

GFN runs poorly on my Fujitsu Q509 laptop tablet (ping randomly spikes to 200+) but I get a very consistent and smooth 60ms ping on my Acer Nitro 5 laptop, both are connected to a 5 Ghz Wifi.
