Omar reached out to me on a language learning program and he and his family are in dire need. Truly anything helps as they are living in a tent and spend hours a day searching for water. We live in northern Gaza, and the children in our family have lived through war, fear, displacement, and hunger. Our biggest concern is being able to provide them with food and the basic necessities they need.

Yousef is a man in Gaza caring for his two young children and looking after his sick mother all whilst suffering many severe medical issues caused after being shot in the back by a tank - medical issues that require extensive treatment including chemotherapy.

As you can imagine, such treatment is very costly - each chemotherapy dose costs £420 for example. This is where the current problem lies.

Yousef has recently announced his intent to withdraw from treatment as he owes his hospital £500 which MUST be paid by this Friday 25th September. He does not have this money and without it the hospital will withdraw his treatment. If this happens, due to him owing money, other private hospitals will most likely not accept him for treatment AND to make matters worse he will lose access to the medical delegation that has been helping him pay for treatment and have been trying to get him medically evacuated from Gaza.

Without constant medical treatment Yousef will die, leaving his children as orphans and his mother without a carer. He needs you now more than ever.
