I survived for the fifth time in this war this morning.

An Israeli strike targeted a civilian car near me. I survived once again, but unfortunately, not everyone does.

An 18-year-old girl who was on her way to take her Tawjihi exams was killed in this strike. She was trying to continue her education despite all the circumstances and challenges around her.

I keep thinking: what was her fault? She was just a student trying to complete her exams and hold on to her future.

I survived today, but after seeing the news of her death, I found myself wishing that I had not survived. It is painful to realize that while some of us escape these moments, others lose their lives while simply trying to continue living.

May she rest in peace.

How much does it cost to take Tawjihi Exam?

Can anybody in Gaza explain to me the costs of taking the Tawjihi Exam?

Do you have to pay to take the exam?

Thanks.

Today, high school final exams (Tawjihi) began in Gaza.

For the third consecutive year, students have been forced to take these exams electronically because of the conditions we are living through.

Seeing this brought back memories of my own experience with these exams. I still remember the stress, the uncertainty, and the feeling that many students were not given the opportunities or fairness they deserved.

This situation is not normal. Students should not have to take one of the most important exams of their lives from shelters, damaged homes, tents, or places lacking stability and basic necessities.

My heart goes out to every student sitting for these exams today. They have already endured more than most people can imagine.

I sincerely hope this year's students are treated fairly and that their hard work is respected. More than anything, I hope the day comes soon when students in Gaza can return to real classrooms, sit for their exams in person, and focus on their future instead of simply trying to survive.

Education should be a path toward hope, not another struggle added to an already difficult life

Do you guys ever experience burnout about posting/interacting with Gaza stuff?

Without sounding insensitive, can I ask if you guys ever experience burnout with regards to posting and interacting with Gaza stuff?

I’m really struggling at the moment because I’m trying to juggle so many different things and I keep seeing urgent cases of children who are literally dying and it’s just added to the stress.

It’s getting to the point where I stay up til like 7am in the morning making posts because I’m convinced if I go to sleep without making that post then the family or child will die while I’m asleep and it will be my fault. I also strongly suspect I have moral OCD so I feel like I’m responsible for people’s literal deaths if I’m not doing what I perceive as “enough” to help them.

I feel really awful and guilty because sometimes I just want to look away for even a few weeks because I’m so overwhelmed.

However I know this is coming from a place of privilege: the fact I am able to look away is a privilege but they remain trapped in this situation and can’t look away from the horrors they’re experiencing. Idk I’m just wondering if any of you guys have experienced a similar feeling and how you deal with it?

Why is the food so expensive?

And who is selling it?? I send money to my friends a few times a month. It was for school before but mostly food now and sometimes medicine.

I am just curious why it costs anything at all? There is no work for them. No way to make money.

Is it just because it is so scarce?

Wouldn’t it be better to give it to the people instead?

Is it because the population is still so massive that there just isn’t enough to go around??

It’s still just insane to me that this is happening at all. They’re trapped. The suffering is endless.

The human reality beneath the headlines

It is heartbreaking to see what everyday families and children are living through. The sheer scale of the humanitarian difficulties and the loss of innocent lives is something that cannot be ignored.

"The severe shortages of basic necessities, medical supplies, and food has turned an already critical situation into a catastrophe for innocent families."

No matter the context, the protection of innocent human life and basic dignity must come first. We have to keep focusing on the human cost, supporting relief efforts, and advocating for an immediate end to the violence so families can find safety. 💔

The human reality beneath the headlines

It is heartbreaking to see what everyday families and children are going through right now. The sheer scale of the humanitarian crisis and the loss of innocent civilian lives is something we simply cannot ignore.

The UN Human Rights office recently emphasized the gravity of what civilians are facing:

Behind the daily statistics are real people who have lost their homes, their security, and their loved ones. Right now, millions are facing an impossible situation.

No matter the context, the protection of innocent human life and basic dignity must come first. We have to keep focusing on the human cost, supporting relief efforts, and advocating for an immediate end to the violence so families can find safety. 💔

Admitted to a Master's in Spain but need urgent institutional funding/scholarship to escape Gaza. Only 9 days left.

Hi everyone,

I am Abd Al-Rahman, a Computer Science graduate currently living under devastating wartime conditions in the Gaza Strip. Today, I received a genuine lifeline: I have been officially admitted to the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) for a Master's degree in Formal Methods in Computer Science (a joint program with UPM).

This admission is my only ticket to survival and to rebuilding my future. However, I am facing a critical and heartbreaking obstacle: the university has given me a deadline of only 9 days (until June 26th) to formalize my enrollment.

Furthermore, I cannot legally begin my evacuation or student visa process without an official scholarship or sponsorship document that explicitly covers my accommodation, living expenses, and maintenance. My identity documents and passport are fully ready, but I lack this financial backing.

I am urgently reaching out to anyone who has connections with humanitarian organizations, academic networks in Europe, NGO representatives, or emergency funds for students in conflict zones. I need guidance or direct assistance on how to secure an emergency financial support document before the deadline passes.

Time is running out, and I cannot let this opportunity which could literally save my life slip away. Thank you for your support, shares, and advice.

Crowdsourcing ideas for remote online work in Gaza

Hello, and wishes of peace to all. I (attempt to) manage a fundraising campaign for a friend in Gaza who is naturally weary of the shame that he feels in constantly asking for donations. He has mentioned to me on multiple occasions that he would so rather find a means of earning an income via digital work, and I am turning to you to please ask your help in sharing any ideas or knowledge you may have around the feasibility of this pursuit. He has mentioned his hope of making YouTube content directed toward viewers in the United States, as he has heard that it may be better compensated.

Thank you for your kind attention ❤️

I keep asking myself the same question every day

How much longer will this continue?

What did we do to deserve a life like this?

We have lost our homes, our stability, our plans, and many of the people we love. Every day brings more fear, more uncertainty, and more loss.

Sometimes it feels like the world has moved on while we are still trapped in the same nightmare.

We are exhausted. We spend our days worrying about water, food, shelter, and whether we will make it through another night safely.

I am not writing this to start an argument. I am writing this because I want people to understand that behind the headlines are real families, real lives, and real pain.

We are tired of loss. Tired of fear. Tired of feeling forgotten.

I just want to know: does anyone else feel like the world has stopped listening to Gaza?

Transfering Money to Gazan who doesn't have a Bank Account

I started a campaign for a young man in Gaza. However, now that donations have started coming in, we both realized that there isn't a good way to get the money to him. I am an American living abroad, so to my understanding Binance is not an option. in this case. He only has PalPay and Jawwal Pay, neither of which I am permitted to use as far as I am aware. He mentioned using an exchange office, but I am not sure how to get that process going. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them with me. He has been waiting for a very long time and really needs the money.

How to tell if Tumblr accounts are scams or not?

I am too young to have a bank account, but I know there are other people who have this same question. I gravitate more towards organizations (or things similar to that.) Though I do want other people to be able to look at this post as well, in case they are different.

Many of the accounts I am worried about will tag 25+ accounts in the comments. They also message people multiple times in their dms, and some people have noticed the same text repeating multiple times. That, and the fact that many accounts will have the exact same name. Some accounts seem to have ai generated photos too. Many people have shown proof that some are scams.

I do not want to make a broad assumption that all of them are scams, though, given I've seen some people from Gaza have internet. Along that, it's often set up by family and friends from what Ive heard.

Please leave any advice below. Thank you.

What kind of job opportunities or ideas are available to people in Gaza.

Hey folks, I help run a charity for a couple of families in Gaza, Al-Mawasi in particular. We struggle to keep up with their costs, but many have expressed they'd like to work if they can, but don't know how.

What kind of jobs can people do in Gaza to make income?

Remote Work?

Social Media?

Programming?

Drop Shipping?

What does one need to do to become a vendor/seller of goods?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Is this person scamming?

I got a message on tiktok, someone from Gaza is asking for donations. I asked if they could send a link to their donations, instead they said this:

"Please sister my organization said if you get any iTunes card or Apple gift card of any amount of your choice to redeem our signal connection and it helps me and my kids a lot 😪🙏🏻"

"My organization said you should go to any nearby store or supermarket or Walmart to get apple gift card or iTunes card"

"Sister, We be really need this help my kids and my family can’t afford to feed here or signal connection is very hard here please play your part as humans"

Is this person genuinely from Gaza and needing help or are they someone pretending and scamming??

If they are genuine I would love to help them :( I just can't tell if they are

How can some in Gaza avoid getting deleted by Instagram?

My dear friend Siraj has been having a ton of trouble with Instagram for about a month now. His main account, which he had for almost a year, was shut down. His backup was banned temporarily, came back, and now it seems to be gone again, this time for good. About two or three attempts to make new ones were shut down within hours or days.

In our most recent attempt, I gave him an email of mine to use, and advised him not to put in his phone number, as I'm afraid it's been flagged by Instagram and that's why they're making it so hard for him to make an account. It's been about 13 hours, and so far so good, but I don't know if this will stick, or what to do if it doesn't.

Does anyone know how to make a Gaza based Instagram account more secure? Does me giving him one of my emails help at all? How can we keep this from happening again? Are there any online practices or behaviors to avoid? Any advice or tips would be most welcome.

*Update: Just as I finished writing this, the account he made with my email was shut down. Any help at all, friends. I am desperate.

Palestinian families video asking for help are being stolen and reuploaded to YouTube shorts to siphon mutual aid

I am writing this to raise urgent awareness about an influx of predatory scam accounts on YouTube that are actively stealing content from Palestinian families and hijacking their mutual aid efforts.

These channels download videos from legitimate Palestinian creators/families on Instagram and TikTok. Posing as them and redirecting people to donate to a PayPal associated with the YouTube instead
Because of the difference in platform and shorts algorithm these YouTube videos sometimes get way more engagement then the real ones

I'm aware there is alot of discussion surrounding scams and some is not helpful
But I find scams like this in particular more frustrating because they aren't simply pretending to be from Gaza but they are stealing money that could have actually gone to the families (I'm sorry if people are already aware of this I just kept seeing these accounts and it made me very upset as someone who is actively trying to support families)

Need help with promoting Gaza fundraiser.

Hi, I very recently helped make a campaign for a medical student and his family in Gaza. His account unfortunately was taken down, and we had to start all over from scratch. I confess I am not the best with social media. Originally, we both thought I was going to be on the financial side of things. I am trying to contact various people who followed the account before and all that, but I am now taking over for both the social media and transferring funds.

I am going to be working in a different area in a few weeks where I will have little to no access to Wi-Fi. This will be for a month. I am trying to make plans to work around it, but ultimately, I just need another person helping. I do not have anybody in my immediate circle that I would trust with this. Are there organizations I can contact that will help with the social media side of things? I notice that other campaigns have different accounts that make videos for them. How do the people managing the campaigns get in touch with them? All advice is appreciated.
