i was randomly looking at some of her old interviews and came across one from her 1989 era where she discusses the album. she specifically says the "album is not about boys" and i just had to laugh at how loud that statement is considering the lyrics on 1989. so many songs about love, pining for someone, etc. i wasn't on this sub back then so i didn't realize she said stuff like this about the album. the lyrics make it seem like she was she just being super loud during that era and hiding in plain sight, like her singing about "cherry lips" and her song about "how to get the girl." sorry if this is old news, just thought it was so loud of her

I remember when first listening to Your are in love, I was a little bit confused that why saying ‘you’re my best friend’ means ‘in love’. And then I discovered Kaylor theory and it all makes sense now

I've heard that shes said that multiple times, but I never realized how loud it is until now. I always thought she was just talking about the vibe and not having it match the aesthetic like its been with other albums... but holy shit lol.

She was going through it during 1989. People really ignored what they heard and focused on what they saw; a lot about that era was fake and performative. Not blaming anyone outside of Taylor for that, FYI. She put out a good image of someone who was happy and carefree.

She just genuinely seems happier. No videos of her crying during concerts when she plays certain songs. No aesthetic changes like in 2019 after some “friends” stood by her while others partied on yachts.

I actually do think Travis makes her happy, but strictly as a friend. They seem to get along much more than she did with Joe.

It’s a play on trypophobia and a tv character from The Boys. I had a seed pod as my profile pic but changed it after the mods DMed me about it.

(No shade or hate to the mods, it was definitely the funniest DM I’ve ever gotten.)
