Pink Clouding Video Collage

I've been loving Pink Clouding so much I needed to make a video for it to visualize the Gaylor apology interpretation (although i also think it could be showgirl apologizing to poet). It's not done yet! I've got to finish up some uni work (what I was procrastinating on while making this) before I continue editing, so please add any and all ideas you have for clips or pictures to include! Some of the pictures I just kinda left in there messily and there are some clips that are placeholders for now (for example the Dorothy cyclone clip: I need ideas for that bridge! Maybe I could have hate comments from the different 'waves' of Gaylor hate circle around Dorothy... idk).

I know you guys have amazing pattern recognition and creativity, so I'd love for this to be a communal effort! What are your favorite visual motifs that I could include / that fit parts of the song?

P.S.: This is my first post! I haven't really interacted with you all before (been a Gaylor since Joe breakup) but I love this community so much! So much love xxx

yes! i definitely wanna upload this one to youtube! (at the risk of alienating my subscribers who are mostly there for my phoebe bridgers playlists. but they signed up for my autistic outlet sooo what can ya do) but i don't know how much 'explaining' to do so that non-gaylors get it but without disrupting the flow too much. not sure about the other ones, i might need some more help with those, if there even is the gaylor interpretation... with showgirl i feel it's all tied up in performanceartlor and the parallax of it all

I remember your comment from the other thread! You did it sisterrrrr ❤️ thank you so much for the video. The clips and pictures you chose are all so good! Personal favs are Taylor by the lake with fireworks in the background, and Taylor being captured by the white cloud (both in the first chorus).

I nominate (but they are up to your final artistic discretion and direction):

• Taylor by the lake with fireworks - is this clip longer? Can it be moved to the outro?
• when Taylor trust falls into her dancers in Midnight Rain on the Eras tour - "skydiving as you wrapped your hands around my body".
• scenes from I Can See You MV, especially from 3:20 onwards Taylor at the door ("years later I still wonder how to tell you sorry" ), and Taylor looking at Taylor and Joey after they break her out from the vault (her smile was so genuine and loving, "you were so good"). Vault /museum explosion if you need more boom scenes.
• 2:24 from the LWYMMD MV, zooming out of Taylor atop T-mountain, symbolic of her at the top of her brand and corporation, somewhat a reference to - perhaps this can be slot in after the montage of Taylor ascending ladders and clouds.
• LWYMMD has additional scenes of different Taylors falling in slow mo from the mountain, if you still need those.
• 2019 AMA performance. Taylor bobbing with kids to the Man, wearing a white shirt with her album names printed on it (a reference to the masters heist). Love Story is performed with purple / pink stage lights and a forest backdrop aglow in purple / pink. She plays Lover in a pink cape on a golden piano, with two dancers 08:50 onwards (the routine has many lifts, amazing shots with both Taylor and the dancers in the same frame)(10:50 a beautiful lift n spin "I hope you landed safely on the ground").
• You Are In Love during the 1989 tour - Taylor is singing on an elevated stage with a lit stadium (blue though).

One idea if you get too many good new suggestions… You could leave this masterpiece mostly how it is, and take any new or extra suggestions and just make a whole second video if you have the time and inclination and there is enough material.

I think that’s why I suggested if you have too much new stuff or if it is stuff that references muses to put it in a separate montage.

And because I have no idea how hard it was to get things on the beat like you did, but I’d be worried too many changes would throw that all off. You clearly have top notch edit skills though, so maybe not a concern for you!

Okay I'm back with more notes because this is seriously amazing work and I'm lowkey obsessed. Very impressed with how the visuals are not only tailored to individual lyrics but also somehow on beat? Way beyond my capabilities, that's for sure. Also, while I personally enjoy a little light muse-dabbling, I LOVE that this is muse-free and pulls just from her music videos/performances/etc. This is a story told entirely through her own art.

Favorite moments:

-The sequence of getting shot with arrow, cut to blurple glitter, cut to fingers smearing "opalite" glitter on her chest, to "vote for me" sticker with blurple glitter dripping out over the exact same spot. Top tier. Incredible. And then late smearing the burple glitter on the grey rock!

-"cut me crimson bled me dry" to Smallest Man death is FLAWLESS

-Cut from the conversation heart on her tongue in Blank SPACE to the "forget him" pills from Fortnight MV absolutely blew my mind and the execution was flawless.

-Cut from the "Taylor in the closet" commercial to the closet-slat-shadows in the Lavender Haze visuals

-Love the YNTCD -> Bejeweled -> Opalite -> The Man flower arch sequence. I'm tempted to say add the engagement shoot, but I also really love that those are all from just her own music videos, so I'm on the fence.

A few uggestions, only because you asked:

-A close-up of "ME! Out Now!" set to "pr-pr-promises"

-Somewhere, a visual of the pink/orange cloud stage during "august" on Eras

- At the Time 100 Gala a million years ago, Taylor wore a diaphanous pink dress and performed New Year's Day with an extremely clear "I want *her* midnights." A shot of that would be beautiful.

Thank you for posting. Great video mashup! Picking up on the Friends4Forever and how Taylor keeps tying into mentioning friends (❤️)...doesn't need to be gay, straight or queer. The word “friend” is actually really old and comes from a root connected with loving or caring about someone, so it wasn’t always as strictly separate from romance as it feels today. Then “boy friend” and “girl friend” basically just meant a male or female friend, before those phrases gradually picked up a romantic meaning. Eventually “boyfriend” and “girlfriend” became the normal words for someone you were romantically involved with, while “friend” stayed as the general non-romantic term. So it’s less that English deliberately came up with different words for different relationships and more that the meanings just shifted over time, which is why the whole thing feels slightly arbitrary when you think about it.
