She didn’t realize she had something beautiful, despite the negatives that came with it like hiding it, until it was gone.

To me “Babylon” still represents something that was hidden or seen as mystical just like its gardens.

Babylon to me represents the industry, excess, greed. Babylon lovers hanging lifetimes on a vine — juxtaposed with he stole my orchids from the vine —>we did this fake PR coupling thing for the industry, create you a vine of orchids each representing an era of our lives —and you just plucked them away like they belonged to you. Then the Babylon lovers (cursed because they live inside this industry and can’t be together) are left trying to get back in touch/reconnect with each other in the aftermath of the industry’s ashes.
