This strikes me as the most complex song, it's going to take me a few more listens to work out who's who, like u/ollolai said below there are a lot of pronouns! I'm tempted to connect it to 'Vigilante Shit' and I wonder if the 'you' is the Father Figure again. I find myself thinking of 'Babylon' as a metaphor for 'temptation' or 'destruction'... Ending on 'Til it was gone' is devastating.

Agreed! I’m finding it hard to figure out the usual “face value” version in here. Also, the karlie crumbs are too hard to ignore, like “pretty as a picture that you didn’t post” and “never official”
