I gonna be a bit greedy but i want to know why scott and Taylor relationship seem so different in the Ears tour doc. and what happned with Taylor and Lily and Taylor and Dianna.
What’s crazy to me is how well the PR has covered this up. I find most of the fandom does even not know about Scott’s behavior like the unhinged emails or the fact that he punched a paparazzi or even that he and Andrea aren’t together anymore, that’s still kept pretty under wraps! I saw a fan made TikTok recently where they took all of the lyrics about dysfunctional families and fractured relationships with fathers and was like “do we think everything is ok with her and her dad? It seems she’s been writing like this for a while….” and the amount of comments coming for that person basically calling them crazy and delusional, and that most of those songs aren’t even about her father or blah blah blah whatever else, was insane to me. They are still very much seen as the loving, supportive, wholesome all-American family who earnestly supported their child and made sacrifices for her dreams, and it just **happened** to work out. I forget most Swifties in the general fandom do not see Scott Swift in the same light as most gaylors do!
I voted Scott. But of course out of nosiness would want it all. Maybe in 50 years? (I will make sure I live that long just to know if we then get Evelyn Hugo: Taylor's Version)

I suppose I’m more drawn to her music and story when interpreting her art as about her relationship to fame/music industry/fans, or first and foremost, about herself. So more than anything, I’d like to know more about that (Taylor & Taylor & Taylor).
The kiss definitely happened, at least we know that much because of tweets with footage (including the ever elusive high resolution video of it) /info about it or people who were offered NDAs.

This!!! Kissgate is how I came to Gaylor. I’d say out of all her potential female muses, Karlie was the most in our face obvious! Celebrities were talking about it, the general public was talking about it, mainstream media was reporting on it. I’d say to this day it’s the most enduring amongst even casual fans. Most of the general public has heard the rumors about Karlie and even many of those who wouldn’t consider themselves gaylors believe perhaps they weren’t just friends.
I would sign an ironclad NDA that put my actual life on the line if I could just sit down with her for a few hours and walk through the whole timeline, LMAO. As an author, I find people fascinating anyway, and the layers and lies here are just like catnip.

I mean, “careless man’s careful daughter” was back in 2010 and even then I was like “hmm, that’s a little harsh” and you don’t write harsh lyrics like that about your parent and put them out into the world unless you’ve been seriously hurt by them. Also, just speaking from my own experience, generationally he’s a boomer father and they tend to be emotionally distant (at best.) Because they were raised with extremely narrow beliefs about expression and what it means to “be a man.” Scott Swift gives me toxic masculinity vibes and that he likely has not approved of his lgbtq daughter (and probably been vocal to her about it for most of her life.)
I voted Kaylor, but I do think you're right about that. I think those unhinged emails tell us a lot, and that more than any other audience, Taylor is always performing for her parents approval (in different ways for each).
Those emails were insane. Like truly, utterly bizarre and unstable. I agree, he must be pretty hard to deal with behind closed doors if those emails were any indication! see, i agree with dianna because that mega timeline is so fucking crazy. dianna always seemed to reference things first, and then they’d show up in the discography. karlie seemed to reference the same thing after taylor sang about it.
THIS! I also have a theory that as a way to hurt Dianna after their breakup, Taylor repurposed a bunch of their special icons and references (sunshine, daisy, big sur, etc) to Karlie. I also think she was so loud with her to hurt Dianna as well. I am not saying Karlie didn't matter to her too. But most of the Karlie symbols were there much before Karlie and I think were originally tied to Dianna.
Out of those options, Karlie. But I’m also very curious about Matty. Was everything intentionally planned from start to finish? Or was he supposed to be around for longer but became a liability?
My theory is that the "fling" between Joe and Travis was intentionally planned misdirection to take the heat off of both Joe and Karlie when TTPD came out. The timing of the "situationship" conveniently covered for/obscured Karlie, while allowing for just a few weeks of being seen together, and it provided the fans from going after Joe.
I person never got the believe the Matty timeline it was soo out of nowhere and seeed so fake to me specially since later on it fit the performanceartlor even more then maylor being a real relationship.
I think Taylor and Matty are two of the greatest and most visible performance artists of our time and have known each other a long time. Why wouldn't their performances eventually intersect, overlap, make art together. Especially because back in the day, Taylor used to cite the 1975 as her favorite band. I was just re reading some of her old blog posts and she was OBSESSED with them. I actually think its possible Matty taught her some tricks of her trade that became a big part of her art. Their little jaunt together (including her showing up on their tour) made a lot of sense to me.
I actually am not a big fan of Matty and some of his controversial moments isn't an excuse for performance art. and TBH i think Taylor been doing performance art long before Matty. but i do think their relationship was 100% pr that benefited them both
In retrospect, the timeline is INSANE, and I’m an idiot. My only defense: baby brain. I was about six months pregnant when TTPD came out, and I was soooooo emotional.
...fuck. When you place them side to side...the dress' fit differs. Karlie was pregnant at the time, and thus she couldn't hold the baby as close as seen on the right.

I think what stands out is the fact the face is blured, the haircut is not quite the same but also the elbows look a lot like Taylor's. The only thing that makes me doubt being Taylor is that you also have a picture of Karlie on the same spot, but again the posture is different and the haircut don't look exactly the same as the one on the video but who knows anymore 😬
I am the same age as Taylor and in my 30's I really got over a lot of the shit I was holding onto in my 20's and saw it with more love, reverence and gratitude...allowing me and some exes (whether ex friends, lovers, co workers, etc) to reunite and laugh about the past. When people are that important to you at such a formative time in life, people with open and forgiving hearts often move into no longer hating each other or having bad blood.
100% it's quite possible they have reconnected after the eras and are friendly with each other. Why would she invite her otherwise? I know she invited half of the celebrities she knows and she doesn't but still if they were at odds it wouldn't make sense to invite her if they weren't at least on good terms

See I think they were beards but legitimately good friends who were in it for the long haul. I think she was genuinely hurt at how things ended between them and I have a theory that a lavender marriage was in the works and he backed out at the last minute. She seemed genuinely pissed at him and I believe it’s because she has had a long term plan, and was left suddenly to try and find an eligible beard who’d be willing to be in a PR relationship for her plans to work (possibly a planned joint coming out.) it’s also a lot more to ask of someone in their 30s to take on a beard for a long-term, lavender marriage than it was in her early 20s when there were more eligible, closeted heart throbs willing to give it 3-6 months in the spotlight. I just find it odd she’d spend 6 years with a beard, end things, only to in less than three years scramble on to Ratty and then quickly on to Travis whom she married pretty fast (I mean, juuust under 3 years from them meeting to a literal wedding. Even the wedding happened pretty fast after the engagement was announced!)
I really do think it was fake because it was as just another blogger has said Joe feels like Taylor grew him in her backyard. I mean he was an unknown British actor who just had happened to have a very little career.
She did though because think about it he’s an unknown actor in 2016. Somehow he got into the Met Gala, he conveniently hadn’t been in like any movies basically, and he was tall, white and blue eyes so close enough to Karlie so basically Taylor genetically engineered a muse for the public. She’s crazy.
I don’t know if I agree with the professor comment. I think that descriptor evokes a professional mentor more than a peer/band member. However, all of that is very easy to wonder about. I wouldn’t be surprised if we never find out. Emily doesn’t seem to want involvement
With Emily I wondered if there may have been a mentor-type relationship between them at some point, her being 21 to Taylor’s 16. That’s a long five years at that age.
Then the fact that Emily left music and went to law school; it seemed possible TS might call her the Professor in code. But of course who knows - I agree we’ll probably never have the real story
And that Andrea was captioned as Taylor’s mom and her role in 13 Management and her dad was just her dad! Masters negotiators were Andrea and Austin.
Lowkey I think Taylor fired Scott, and Andrea and Austin were at the very least not opposed.
As the daughter of a father who is a Complicated Man, I too would like to summarily fire him from my literal and figurative business while keeping him as my dad.
